Fermador Chicken, from our Farm to your Table.

Opened in 2018 in the village of Războieni, Ion Neculce commune, Iași county, the factory provides the feed needed for all the company’s farms. The storage capacity is 20,500 tonnes, and the annual production reaches 45,000 tonnes of feed. Transport is carried out with our own vehicles to the breeding and broiler farms.

The feed is made from grains (wheat, corn) and oilseeds (soy, sunflower), supplemented with vitamins, minerals, and other nutritional ingredients. This stage determines the final quality of the products by ensuring balanced nutrition that supports the natural development of the birds. The recipes are developed according to nutritional standards for poultry and tested in the laboratory for each batch produced.

The breeding farm supplies all the hatching eggs needed for all the rearing farms. With an annual capacity of 80,000 hens and roosters and a production of 11 million hatching eggs per year, it ensures independence in the supply of biological material. Breeding birds are selected according to genetic standards for productive performance and comply with animal welfare standards.

Internal production of breeding eggs allows us to control the genetic quality and health of the chicks that will grow on the farms.

Located in Războieni, Iași county, the Hatchery has a capacity of 23 million eggs per year. Modernized in 2023 and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, the entire technological process is automated and monitored through electronic control systems for temperature, humidity, and ventilation. The biological material used comes from our own breeding farm, ensuring complete traceability.

The disinfection program is applied in accordance with veterinary protocols, and the staff adheres to strict hygiene standards regulated at the European level. Each batch of chicks is recorded with traceability data that tracks the origin of the hatching eggs and incubation conditions. Day-old chicks are transported under controlled conditions to the broiler farms.

Annually, we raise over 10 million chickens in our own farms, adhering to all national and European animal welfare standards for conditions such as feeding, watering, and microclimate.

The farms are equipped with modern automated systems for controlling the microclimate, feed, and water. This guarantees uniformity and consistently high performance.

The specialists on our farms monitor and analyze daily compliance with all internal regulations to ensure the harmonious and natural growth of the chicks.

The Podu Iloaiei slaughterhouse produces over 24,000 tonnes of meat annually. The slaughtering capacity is 5,000 heads/hour, through a fully automated line. It supplies its own network of stores and partners with products processed daily. The equipment is modern and maintained according to the maintenance plans recommended by the manufacturers. Every year, we invest in new equipment and machinery to improve production processes. Modern technologies allow us to maintain the freshness and exceptional taste of Fermador products, while automation minimizes human intervention and reduces any risk of contamination.

The staff is trained and periodically evaluated on sanitary hygiene standards and animal welfare. The slaughtering process complies with the standards imposed by ISO 9001, ISO 2200, and IFS Food certifications. Each processed batch is identified with a traceability code that allows tracking of the origin from the farm.

Our own fleet of vehicles ensures daily delivery to stores to maintain product freshness. The vehicles are equipped with refrigeration systems that maintain the temperature between 0-4°C throughout the transport. The transport conditions are checked daily by consulting the temperature recorders installed on all vehicles.

Delivery planning allows products to be delivered to the consumer within 24 hours of processing at the slaughterhouse. Routes are optimized to ensure reduced delivery times and compliance with the cold chain for perishable food products.

Our own fleet of vehicles ensures daily delivery from the slaughterhouse to our stores, equipped with refrigeration systems to maintain the freshness and quality of Fermador products.

We also collaborate with stores and supermarkets, as well as other partners, with Fermador products available on store shelves throughout the country. We ensure that our partners have locations equipped with high-performance storage systems that allow products to be stored in optimal conditions until consumption.

The distribution system ensures national geographical coverage, maintaining quality control at points of sale. Products reach consumers with full traceability, from the origin farm to the point of sale. Daily monitoring of partners’ storage conditions is carried out through regular visits by sales teams.
